What is counselling?

Counselling provides a safe and supportive environment in which to talk through your thoughts and problems with a knowledgable non-judgemental professional. It gives you a personal place for you to let off steam and express your feelings. It's a place to explore and understand yourself so that you can take control of and responsibility for your life.

How I work

 My focus is to help you make sense of your current feelings, thoughts and behaviours. We may do this by identifying patterns that have their origins in your past to help you move forward to where you want to be in your life. 


Clair Tibbit

Clair is an experienced professional counsellor. She has worked for the NHS, IAPT, MIND and ADAS as well as running her own private counselling practice in Essex, York and Suffolk.


Depression & Anxiety

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counselling and treatment, I am able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life. 



Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing. 



Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
